It’s that time of the year again! Riot has announced that this year’s Snowdown will not only introduce new skins, but will also open up previous Snowdown skins, as well as introduce a new game mode.
First, let’s take a look at the game mode. After the temporary release and testing of the “One for All” mode, it seems Riot is going to introduce a new 1vs1 and 2vs2 map. We’ve all seen the popular phrase “1vs1 me at Baron noob!” at some point in our League of Legends career, and now it seems Riot is catering for such scenarios, providing us with a chance to bash on our arch-enemies for eternal glory. Still, I’m already worried about how they will solve the champion select phase, as counter-picking will be crucial in any 1vs1 matchup.
Moving on, some old Christmas skins are becoming available again. There are no hints at any discounts here though, so expect to hand out about the usual 975 Riot points for them. Here’s the full list of skins:
- Snow Bunny Nidalee
- Workshop Nunu
- Happy Elf Teemo
- Earnest Elf Tristana
- Old Saint Zilean
- Re-Gifted Amumu
- Santa Gragas
- Reindeer Kog’Maw
- Candy Cane Miss Fortune
- Ragdoll Poppy
- Nutcracko
- Silent Night Sona
- Festive Maokai
- Bad Santa Veigar
- Mistletoe LeBlanc
- Snow Day Ziggs
- Dark Candy Fiddlesticks
- Toy Soldier Gangplank
- Snowmerdinger
- Slay Belle Katarina
Lastly, it can’t be a Snowdown without some new skins, and we’ve dug around a bit to find out who are the lucky champions to get some holiday pimping this year. Singed will be getting his Snow Day skin (and yes, smacking people in the face with a slay while spraying the map with artificial snow really sounds like fun), Lulu is getting her Winter Wonder skin (and Pix looks adorable, I have to admit), while Sivir is getting her Snowstorm skin. Here’s a bonus video for you guys, showcasing all the new skins, as well as showing off Yasuo’s secondary launch skin:
