Riot Games, the company behind the immensely popular game, League of Legends, has released “Warrior,” a new animated music video featuring alternative rock group, Imagine Dragons, in celebration of the upcoming League of Legends World Championship 2014.

League of Legends and Imagine Dragons: Warrior

Last year’s League of Legends World Championship drew an astonishing crowd comprised of 32 million viewers.

Riot Games’ “Warrior” video is sure to get professional League of Legends players and general LoL fans in a seriously competitive mood.


 

Riot Games said the following in regards to “Warrior”:

“To kick off the start of the action, we set out to craft a war cry to rally behind in a creative collaboration with Imagine Dragons.”

Brandon Beck, Riot Games’ co-founder and CEO, tweeted that most of the band members in Imagine Dragons are level 30 in League of Legends.

The best past of all is that the MP3 version of “Warrior” is available to download for free here.


In regards to this year’s League of Legends World Championship (which started today, September 18th), 16 elite LoL teams will be pitted against each other in fierce digital competition.

2 finalists will duke it out in Seoul, South Korea in October for the title of “World Champions,” along side a hefty sum of $1 million US dollars. In total, the prize pool is just over $2 million US dollars.

Nevertheless, dedicated League of Legends players/fans are sure to appreciate Riot Games and Imagine Dragons most recent creative collaboration.
