Revealed in a press released published on Tuesday, May 27, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games and the LEGO group revealed the teaser trailer for the latest addition to the LEGO Batman series, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.
In LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Batman teams up with with the heroes of the DC Comics Universe – Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc. – to fend of Brainiac from destroying Earth. What’s new in this iteration of the game? It’ll be taking place in OUTE-E-E-E-E-E-ER SPA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-ACE! Yes, that was necessary.
Using the power of the Lantern Rings, Braniac shrinks worlds to add to his collection of miniature cities from across the universe. Batman and the others must travel to different Lantern Worlds to collect the Lantern Rings in order to put an end to Braniac’s little hobby.
“Building on the incredibly successful LEGO Batman franchise, we are working to make LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham the ultimate super hero videogame this year for all ages,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director of TT Games. “The TT Games team is bringing LEGO Batman and an astounding amount of characters from the DC Comics universe to the next frontier with a new epic story, more gadgets and unexpected challenges.”
You’ll be able to unlock over 150 unique characters from the DC Comics Universe, all of which will be LEGO-fied. You’ll also be able to explore iconic locations, such as the Hall of Justice, the Batcave (kind of a given) and the Justice League Watchtower. There also be additional challenges, battles and races to take part in via the Bat Computer.
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is slated to release at the beginning of autumn for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
