Several weeks ago, at the New York Comic Con, Marvel officials had announced a new demo for their LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game that was ready to be released for PC, Playstation Network and Xbox Live. While the game was released as expected on November 22 2013, the demo is still available for download on the Lego-s official site.

LEGO Super Heroes Marvel will have an original story where Nick Fury invokes all heroes of the Marvel Universe to save the Earth from imminent threats such as Loki and Galactus.

The game starts when Silver Surfer, is knocked out of the sky. His surfboard is shattered into ‘Cosmic Bricks’ that fall onto the Earth. Because all these blocks contain immense power, Doctor Doom, another bad guy of the marvel universe gets together a band of villains to make the “Doom Ray of Doom”. The SHIELD director Nick Fury cannot ignore the threat and he decides to call upon the superheroes of the Marvel Universe. Together, they must retrieve the blocks before they get captured by other villains.

There will be more than 100 characters users will be able to unlock, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki, and Galactus. Several characters were already presented at this year’s Comic Con: Electro, Shocker, Pyro, Nightmare, Power Man, Iron Fist, Havok, Polaris, Moon Knight, She-Hulk and Aunt May.

A DLC called Asgard Character pack will launch soon. It will include new characters such as Malekith Kurse, Sif, Volstagg, Odin, Hogun, Fandral and Jane Foster.
