On an occasion no matter what you are doing during the day, there is a high chance that will you need to make a note of something. No matter if it is a memo, a reminder, a detail, phone number, or an address. It is cool that in these days when you don’t have a pen and paper around that you are able to get an app on your phone, or even on your computer. So let’s take a gander at the two most popular apps and compare who comes out on top.
User Interface
If you are Windows 8 user then using the Evernote will make you feel that you are in familiar territory, this is due to its column and tile layout. Evernote is broken up into three columns that will provide you with different information. You are able to create a new note with the first tile while the second and third tile will have information about the notes and your note history broken into shortcuts for you. To get to your actual notes all you have to do is swipe right, and the tiles will display little snippets of the containing text.
Much like Evernote, OneNote uses columns, but in a different way. When you open up a notebook, the first column will open up the second column. The column displays your notebook sections, with each containing their own pages or notes, which will be in the third column. When you click on a page, another column will open up.
Editing
When you are on Evernote Touch, you can edit by swiping up on the display. You will be directed to the toolbar which will contain your tools for editing from size, color, text style, and font. From there, you can edit with layout you want to format for your note.
Microsoft Office Suite provides OneNote with sweet benefits, which allows for editing tools that is displayed on cool user interface. OneNote comes with clickable circle that will open up to editing options such as inserting images, pasting, copying, and much more.
You are able to support audio files with Evernote, and attach audio content, but not to a note that has been created.
Don’t count OneNote out though because it offers a nice size limit. You are able to sync up with your Microsoft SkyDrive cloud that allows for OneNote users to have no limits, as notes can have up to 2GB of content. Evernote however only allows for the 25MB limit but is still a hit for users.
