The Macbook Pro retina family has had a few upgrades done to the specs, and OS X Yosemite beta shows off the sleek design of the OS. The Macbook Pro line has been upgraded with a new Haswell chip which provides better performance than last years chips which was also Haswell. The low end 15-inch Macbook Pro will get a base RAM increase from 8GB to 16GB which will well increase the performance and better the value of this model.
Everything else under the Macbook Pros family hoods still remains the same. The Nvidia Geforce-GT 750M GPU still remains the same in the higher end Macbook Pro 15-inch. Which is a shame since that GPU is now 2 years old, and many Windows Laptops are shipping with Nvidia GTX GPU’s which offer a better gaming experience. That wraps up everything Apple has planned for their computer products until the release of the OS X Yosemite.
OS X Yosemite is bringing the same UI design familiar to that of iOS 7, and the new update to iOS 8 for their mobile products. OS X Yosemite UI has the sleek and flat design that makes everything pop to the eye. The design aesthetic in OS X Yosemite is on a grander scale now. Which really makes the current Apple OS feels packed, bulky, and overall not appealing to the eye anymore. You can expect the release of OS X Yosemite alongside iOS 8 this fall around October.
