by GH Staff

CNN has reported on a man found dead after three day gaming session in Taiwan.

The man, surnamed Hsieh, was found in a internet cafe in Taiwan’s second largest city, Kioahsiung, on January 6th. An employee found the deceased sprawled in front of a computer, who was then rushed to hospital before being pronounced dead from a cardiac arrest.

It has also became clear that the 32 year old man was undiscovered for a long period of time, despite suffering from a fatal attack brought on by over-exhaustion.

Jennifer Wu, a police spokesperson from the Hunei district spoke to CNN about the incident, stating that “He has been unemployed for a long time, and internet cafes were the only place he could go to.”

Acording to a staff member, the man was a “regular customer” who often played for consecutive days.

“When tired, he would sleep face down on the table or doze off slumped in his chair. That is why we were not aware of his condition in the beginning,” the staff member was quoted as saying.

Police said gamers in the café continued as if nothing happened even when the police and paramedics arrived.

This incident comes after the death of a 36 year old Taiwanese man who was found dead on January 1, after gaming for 5 days straight.
