Mario Golf: World Tour season pass announced

by GH Staff

Nintendo has detailed various advantages of purchasing a season pass for the upcoming 3DS title, Mario Golf: World Tour. A total of three add-ons are to be included at a discounted price of $14.99 / £10.79, whilst standalone purchases will be $5.99 / £5.39 each. Mushroom Pack, the first DLC, will come with Toadette and is available May 2, the same day as the game’s release. Later in the month, the Flower Pack will be available, including the recently introduced character; Nabbit. Finally, June will see the release of the Star Pack, featuring Rosalina.

Those who purchase a season pass will gain access to Gold Mario – a playable character who has the ability to collect additional coins using the Golden Flower shot. Eventually, Nintendo will make Gold Mario available to everyone, but only when all three DLC packs have been released.

Mario Golf: World Tour gives players the chance to show off their golfing skills over 10 courses with a total of 126 holes – once all of the DLC has been released, an additional 108 holes will be available. It was in 2004 we last had a golf-based Mario game; Mario Golf: Advance Tour on the Game Boy Advance – almost 10 years later, we get to hit the course once again.
