According to a post by Robert Allen Peeler, the online community manager for Kojima Productions’ Los Angeles Studio, on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Steam community page, the PC version of the game will be locked at 60 frames per second.

Furthermore, for those opting to use a gamepad rather than the standard mouse and keyboard configuration, Peeler has made potential purchasers of the game (especially those that hope to use Sony PlayStation DualShock 3 or 4 controllers) aware that the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes‘ user interface will only support the controller inputs used by Xbox controllers (A, B, X, Y).

Gamers will still be able to use DualShock 3s or 4s, however, button prompts will be respective to the Xbox controller layout.

“Hello all, I hope you saw today’s announcement, please feel free to share the info-graphic linked within (Controller/Keyboard & Mouse Control Options) to get the word out past these forums.

I’ve relayed your feedback and received confirmation from the team on a couple of other items for the December release of MGSV:GZ.

– Unfortunately, Dual Shock 3 and Dual Shock 4 controllers, while supported, will not have proprietary input displays in the UI. The controller inputs rather follow the displays common to Xbox Controllers.
– The FPS is locked at 60 for MGSV:GZ.

I’m continuing to clarify some points and will get back to you with more info soon!”

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is slated to release for PC via Steam on December 18th, 2014.
