Microsoft has recently clarified that no new game announcements will be made from them during The Game Awards.

The message came in the form of a tweet from the head of Xbox marketing Aaron Greenberg who had the following to say:

Replacing last year’s VGX Awards, The Game Awards had recently promised dozens of world premieres to be shown during the show. With some developers such as Hideo Kojima and Neil Druckmann confirming and hinting at some of these world premieres.

While Microsoft will not be making any announcements, viewers can tune in this Friday, December 5th at 9PM EST to find out who will be making announcements and what they are. The show will be viewable at The Game Awards official site located here.
