Here come two spectacular tablets from two very strong brands. It would be really interesting to see which tab has richer features. Can Microsoft Surface pro 3 stand the test of time against Asus Transformer Pad?
Microsoft Surface pro 3
This is a smart tab which is based on Windows OS 8.1. It has just recently released in June 2014. From an overview all we can say is that this time Microsoft has come up with some really smart features.
Design & Display
With wide and long 11.5 x 7.93 x 0.36 inches dimensions, this tab allows us to access our home screen with ease. The body is basically made of metal and thereby is quite sturdy. It is ideal for your daily usage. The tab has an extremely flattering 12 inch long screen. It has 216 pixels per inch on its screen therefore we get ample brightness for fine viewing. The tab also features light sensor and the most important multi touch feature.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
It has a 5 mega pixels camera with 1080p HD video record feature. The front facing camera is 5 mega pixels allowing you to video chat with ease. The GPU has Intel HD Graphics for smooth gaming. You get a huge amount of storage, approximately 512 within the tab, and it is expandable up to 450 GB. It has an 8192 MB RAM to support the high performance processor. This tab however lacks flash on camera and GPS.
Asus Transformer pad TF103C
This tab too released in the same time as that of Microsoft Surface pro 3. It is quite a good tab which is not only visually attractive but has great features as well.
Design & Display
This tab has optional mobile dock with QWERTY keypad just like Surface pro 3. It has IPS LCD capacitive touch screen. It has a 10.1 inch long screen which has only 149 pixels per inch resolution. The resolution is way too low compared to any tab. Multi touch up to 10 fingers is enabled.
Specifications, Camera & Battery
It has only a 2 MP primary camera besides secondary VGA camera. Therefore its camera features are way behind Surface pro 3 for that matter. It is based on Android OS v4.4.2 KitKat and has a Dual core Z3745 chipset. Only 1 GB RAM is provided, as it is a Dual core processor.
Overall
The two tabs definitely offer high performance. There is also a difference in prices among the two. But given a choice, Surface pro 3 might be a better option based on its camera feature and RAM.
