A team of modders are currently developing a mod for Starcraft 2 that recreates Warcraft 3 in its full glory. The mod is entitled Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth, and when the mod is complete it will be completely free to download and use, as long as you own Starcraft 2.
Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth will not only be a full remake of Warcraft 3, but new gameplay features will be implemented as well. Nothing specific has been stated yet, but it’s an exciting prospect for sure.
The team of modders behind Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth have released a teaser trailer showcasing in game footage, you can check out the full video below. The team have also stated that a full gameplay video is ‘in progress’.
Warcraft 3 is an RTS game developed by Blizzard and released in 2002. With the popularity of World of Warcraft, a Warcraft 4 has yet to be made. However, this mod could make the waiting time for news on a Warcraft 4 a much easier prospect.
