Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Receives Another Trailer, Footage Depicts a Desert Full of Familiar Beasts

by GH Staff

If stomping around the arid desert looking for colossal monsters to kill is your game, then you’ll be elated to know that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was granted some attention today by the folks at Capcom. The new addition to the Monster Hunter series is going to be available on the 3DS come some time in 2015. So we still have a bit of a wait, considering that we’re barely through the 2014 line-up and whatever Capcom is beginning to prepare in terms of their E3 2014 showcase. But, despite that, the new footage from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was released on Capcom’s official Youtube channel. While it’s not the official North American trailer, the footage doesn’t host a lot of  Japanese dialogue that might otherwise need to be subbed before being made public to distinct audiences. It’s rather simplistic, displaying the flow of the game and the unique battle stratagems for each particular monster. Some of which might seem familiar to the Monster Hunter fanbase.

Below, you can watch the brand new trailer in all of its unadulterated glory. Feel free to take a moment and bask in the nostalgia of the upcoming addition to Capcom’s successful line of 3DS installments. Be prepared to relive some of your prior frustrations on the series, because chances are you’ll catch small glimpses of monsters that should seem to hold an uncanny resemblance to previous fiends from Monster Hunter

Some of the few monsters that we could recognize were: Cephadrome, Daimyo Hermitaur, Diablos, and Monoblos – among others. There’s no distinct number at the moment of what new mechanics will be accessible and if other monsters will be popping up on the 3DS anytime soon. But with Capcom’s cohesive cinematic beginning to compile itself into a full picture of what we can expect out of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, the chances are weighed in our favor. Thus, if you’ve been waiting to see if Monster Hunter will deviate from its roots; the footage will hopefully put your mind at ease. It doesn’t seem like the game developers located overseas have any intentions from steering too far from what fans enjoy.

The launch in Japan will be scheduled for this autumn, so if you positively cannot wait to see how the multiplayer and in-game experience will pan out we’ll have more information regarding the mechanics as we approach that imminent release. If you’re keen on waiting for the North American or European release, we’ll probably be waiting for the official launch due late 2015.  We’d love to hear your overall reactions to the new trailer and your hopes for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, leave a comment below!
