With Capcom being dead-set on turning Monster Hunter into the next billion-dollar entertainment franchise spanning everything from comic books and APRGs to Hollywood blockbusters and theme parks, who are we to stand in the way of the new Mickey Mouse?

Let’s, then, use this opportunity to showcase yet another high-profile publicity stunt Capcom successfully orchestrated in the run-up to the theatrical release of its animated Monster Hunter feature, which is still scheduled to debut this month, December 17th in the United States, to be exact.

Namely, Mila Jovovic, the star of the said blockbuster and many previous Hollywood heavy-hitters, is making a surprise cameo in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne later this week. As part of a super-meta cross-promotional event advertising the Sony Pictures movie, of course. But still, a remarkably cool undertaking, as far as fluiffy Hollywood PR goes. The famous actress will be starring in two separate, time limited MCW: Iceborne quests taking place on December 3rd and 4th.

Called The New World and To Our World, these linear storylines will provide MWC: Iceborne players with both a cool tie-in to the upcoming movie and some useful gear to remember the occasion. Don’t know about you, but we’ll take monster hunting with Mila over lightsaber-waving Mickey any day of the week!
