One of the most interesting games announced last year was Square Enix’s haunted detective title Murdered: Soul Suspect – a game that tasks players with solving their own murder. Starring the recently dead Detective Ronan O’ Connor, players will have to bring their murderer to justice while battling demonic creatures that aim to put an end to O’ Connor’s mission (for reasons currently unknown). Take a look at the trailer below to get an idea as to what you can expect in this grizzled paranormal detective game:
It has been known since its announcement last year that Murdered: Soul Suspect would be released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. However, it seems as if the game will also be released on the PlayStation 4 as well as the Xbox One simultaneously. And the best part? The game will be presented in glorious native 1080p output on the next-gen consoles, along with additional elements such as subsurface scattering as well as an increased particle count.
These added perks sound nice and all, but is the game actually going to be good? The concept is interesting, but we’ll have to wait until June 2014 to not only learn the truth about who killed Ronan O’ Connor, but the quality of the game as well.
