In a brief conversation with GamingBolt, senior design producer of Square Enix’s Murdered: Soul Suspect – developed by Airtight Games – Eric Studer confirmed that the title will run at 1080p on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, but the studio will lock the frame rate at 30 frames per second instead of the much demanded 60 frames per second.
“I can in fact confirm that Murdered will run 1080p on both Xbox One and PS4; we have decided to lock the frames at 30 for this product.”
According to GamingBolt, Airtight Games did not encounter any kind of problems in developing Murdered: Soul Suspect to achieve 1080p resolution, especially on the Xbox One’s eSRAM. In response to a question on the matter, Studer responded with, “I’m not an overly technical guy, but I don’t recall hearing about any hurdles on the eSRAM.”
Studer also confirmed that Murdered: Soul Suspect will utilize additional support for DualShock 4 controllers, but will not have support for Microsoft’s Kinect: “Though we aren’t doing Kinect integration, we are utilizing the PS4 controller in a few fun ways that you’ll have to discover.”
Murdered: Soul Suspect will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 3 in the US, and June 6 in the EU. What’s more, if you can guess the game’s ending, Airtight Games may reward you with some cash. Be sure to also check out Murdered: Soul Suspect’s “Buried” trailer.
