Shin’en Multimedia’s twin stick shooter Nano Assault Neo will be releasing on PlayStation 4 on Wednesday the 29th of October. Titled Nano Assault Neo-X, the game will feature improved visuals over the original version released on Wii U. The announcement was made on the PlayStation Blog.
‘What is it all about? Blast viruses in a microscopic world. Fight enormous boss creatures. Collect credits and equip your vessel with cool weapons to stand a chance. Collect the B-O-N-U-S letters to enter the bonus round for quick extra credits.’
The game is set in a microscopic cellular world. The developers explain that the world that you explore is the kind of world you’d expect to see when looking through a ‘Scanning Electron Microscope’. The main enemies of the game are infections that you destroy while controlling your ship with both control sticks. The game will be running at 60 FPS and 1080p, so the frantic action will always be incredibly smooth. Nano Assault Neo-X will also feature a two player splitscreen co-op mode, and a fully functioning leaderboard system so you can compare your score with your friends.
Nano Assault Neo-X will be available from the PlayStation store on PlayStation 4 this coming Wednesday. You can check out the official trailer below.
