A new Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker trailer has been released by Nintendo today. The trailer shows off numerous different levels and states that the game will have over 70 stages at launch. A new UK release date was also announced, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be releasing on January 2nd 2015 in the UK.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a puzzle game centered around you guessed it, Toad. The original idea for Treasure Tracker was a minigame within ‘Super Mario 3D World’ called ‘The Adventures of Captain Toad’. The games premise is about traversing through a 3D level to collect a golden star at the end. You can play as Toad or Toadette and each level will have different obstacles and enemies for you to overcome. You have the ability to fully rotate the camera around in each level to help you out. Toad cannot jump, but he has the ability to walk and run. The game will also make use of Nintendo’s Amiibo figures.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will be releasing exclusively on Nintendo Wii U. The game will be launching on December 5th 2014 in the US, January 10th in Australia, January 2nd in the UK, Spain, Portugal and Russia, and January 9th in the rest of Europe.
