New and Enhanced Features Define the Much Awaited Malwarebyte Version 2.03

by GH Staff

The long awaited update to the Malwarebyte has finally hit the market. The updated version is called 2.03 and while it may not be a fancy name, the gizmo experts have already labelled this version as one of the major updates in the software industry. The developers of the update have said that this version is focused on fixing of bugs, accessibility issues and squashing new malware. And to accomplish this, some major new features have been added to the Marwarebyte 2.03 while the existing features have been enhanced and many long term bugs experienced by some users have been fixed.

The new features of the 2.03 which everyone is talking about are the Priority Management and Improved Navigation features. A previously unavailable option on the Malwarebyte was to prioritize your scans such that you could control the level of impact a scan has on the performance of your system. This problem is resolved by the Priority Management feature which allows you to run scans as ‘low priority’ such that the performance effect is minimized and you are able to multi-task on Advance Settings. Besides, added support has been provided for keyboard navigation of user interface which is not only more convenient but seems to be an prototype of the major improvements in navigation promised by the developers in their next upgrade i.e. version 2.10 which is due to be launched in 2015.

The developers have also introduced several improvements to smaller features of the software, which though not a big issue in them, were nevertheless a source of annoyance for the users. For example, previously, there was so option of recording the scan dates and time in a proper logged format. This difficulty has been taken care of in the 2.03 which ensures that failed as well as successful scans are logged to ensure optimum user convenience. Another welcome change is the feature enhancement which does not require the system to restart after updates are applied to anti-malware definitions.

Of course, these are only a few of the new features of the updated version. There are numerous other improvements and enhancements such as improved false positive detection, better bypassing of infections that may be present even while scanning the device and improved scanning of encrypted drives by turning on the rootkit option. Many major bugs have also been fixed, the most common being the bug which caused the occurrence of blue screen crashes. Various minor defects in the older version which caused the system to hang while running a scan or the user interference reported by some users have also been done away with.

The final verdict is that it has some amazing new features, has enhanced the existing features and has made sure that users would not repeat their complaints they had with respect to the previous version.  Users who had been eagerly looking forward to an updated version of Malwarebyte have all the reasons to smile with the Version 2.03.
