For those who missed the three minute long live streaming demo, catch the latest insight on the approaching new challengers!

Hot off the press and straight from the official site of everything Smash, the hype surrounding Nintendo’s recent rumors for new characters in the upcoming installment to the Super Smash Bros series has finally been revealed to be none other than Fire Emblem’s Robin (along with his female avatar version), as well as Lucina, and the long anticipated Chrom!

Complete with a kickass move set for each, hardcore fans of both SSB and Fire Emblem can pretty much guarantee that this year’s latest gem from Nintendo’s treasure trove is going to be one of the most sought after games for the Wii U and 3DS!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Fire Emblem universe, Lucina is a descendant of Marth, and the daughter of Chrom. Whereas Robin, also known as The Avatar in the series, is a reoccurring character of the franchise that plays multiple roles as either a male or female depending on the players actions throughout the game. His character concept is very different than most others that we’ve ever seen in SSB thus far, and according to the newcomer trailer (see below), Robin fights with various tomes. However, these tomes have limited usage. It is also confirmed that he will fight mainly with a bronze sword, which can change into a levin sword. It is currently unknown how to change either weapons mid-fight.

Check out the link below for a gameplay trailer of these four unique character releases, and be sure to pre-order your copy if you haven’t already. The 3DS version is set to be released in North America on October 3rd, 2014, while the Wii U version will be released later in the year.
