New Gmail App updates

These days, people increasingly check their e-mail on their phones instead of on their laptops. Laptops may have been designed for portability, but they have lost in that race against smartphones. People can be in their offices or on the subway checking their Gmail accounts on their phones. Gmail apps are important, and they cannot remain static in a world that increasingly relies upon them. The previous Gmail app received some criticism, at least when used on newer smartphones. It was time for Google to make the necessary updates.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are gradually improving and getting that much easier to read. Their displays are larger than those of their predecessors. As such, the Gmail app that both of them used needed to change accordingly. Google is trying to see things from the consumer’s perspective when it updates its apps. With this new Gmail app, the readability of Gmail has improved substantially. Otherwise, accessing Gmail should be more or less the same for users. Checking e-mail is an almost automatic process for a lot of people, and people don’t want to have to relearn any of their habits in time to purchase a new iPhone. With this new Gmail app, they won’t have to: the app has been designed to make the process more convenient for them.

Users can get this Gmail update at no extra charge. For people purchasing the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, this may be just another one of the preparations they make as they transition to using a new phone. The way Gmail looks when viewed this way may soon become more familiar to people than the way Gmail looks when viewed through a laptop. The next generations of iPhones will also probably differ in terms of their displays, so their Gmail apps will probably have to undergo similar updates.
