It’s no doubt that the original HTC One, released in 2013, was one of the most well regarded smartphones of the year, and HTC is gearing up to announce the successor to the HTC One on March 25th at a London based event. Recently, wave after wave of rumors surrounding the device have popped up prior to its announcement. Today, one lucky buyer has nabbed himself the the device on eBay for only $500. This marks one of the first times an Android device has been sold without even being announced.
While there has been no confirmation on the specs of the device, the box on the auction site reads the following for the HTC One 2:
- 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 CPU
- 5-inch 1080p HD display
- microSD card slot (Yay!) w/ 32GB of internal storage
- 5MP front-facing camera
- Ultrapixel rear facing camera
- 2GB RAM
eBay has since removed the listing, but too little too late, as the buyer is now happily awaiting his new HTC One. HTC has yet to comment on the events, but we’ll wait and see how they will respond.
