New Humble Weekly Bundle offers ARMA, DayZ mod and more!

by GH Staff

Unless you have been living under an elephant (metaphorically speaking) you should know about the Humble Bundle. The digital package that offers you to pay what you want and help charity at the same time introduced its latest collection of games. Partnering with Bohemia Interactive, the Humble Weekly Sale is currently offering Arma, Arma II, the DayZ mod for the game and more.

The incredible deal contains the games Arma: Gold Edition, Arma II, Take On Helicopters and UFO: Afterlight at the pay-what-you-want principle as long as it is above 1$. However, for those of you who are willing to pay more than the fixed average of 6$ there is a special surprise waiting – the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead expansion pack and the most famous mod for Arma II, which later became a stand alone piece, DayZ.

Created by Dean Hall, DayZ is an award winning mod for Arma 2 that is one of the most realistic simulations of a world haunted by the terrors of a zombie infection. Later the mod went on to become a standalone game that sold more than 700.000 copies since its Alpha release. Combining elements of horror, action and survival, the game offers various ways to have fun as well.

The third game that you will get once purchasing the Humble Weekly Sale at a price above the average is the not-so-famous Carrier Command: Gaea Mission. Published by Bohemia Interactive, the game is built on the Enforce engine used in the development of the first ARMA game. The real-time action/strategy game sets you on the planetoid of Taurus, where you must join the war between two ruling factions – the United Earth Coalition and the Asian Pacific Alliance.

This week’s Humble Bundle is worth more than $100 in games and supports the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the American Red Cross. It will be available up to January 24, 2014.
