Robert Allen Peeler, the online community manager for Kojima Productions’ Los Angeles-based studio, has confirmed that new bug fixes have been introduced to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
Some users have been experiencing issues with the PC version of Hideo Kojima’s prologue since its launch earlier this month, and according to Peeler, Kojima Productions has developed the new patch in the form of “a Beta version of the game client.”
The three fixes from the patch are listed below:
- When the Camera Y Axis is set to Reverse, the camera movement with the mouse will reflect the change.
- Under some conditions, there was a “Low Memory” error a few minutes after launching the game. This issue has been fixed.
- When some USB devices were connected the game didn’t launch. This issue has been fixed.
“To download the Beta version, right click the entry for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes in your Steam Library, and select Properties then click the tab for Beta,” Peeler explained on a Steam community thread.
“If you’ve previously run into these issues, try the Beta version and check to see if any of the above issues you’ve experienced still occur.”
Kojima Productions L.A. is leading the development on Metal Gear Online for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and MGO creative director Kotaro Oki revealed last week that the servers for the multiplayer component will launch on the same day as Hideo Kojima’s upcoming open-world stealth title.
Meanwhile, Kojima has recently teased new images of The Phantom Pain running on PlayStation 4 software and also announced a new piece of equipment available in the title: the chicken cap.
Running on Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is rumoured to launch in Q2 of 2015 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
