New Tony Hawk Game Could Come To Next-Gen Consoles

by GH Staff

In a recent Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, legendary pro skaterboarder Tony Hawk has hinted that a future Tony Hawk game could potentially hit current consoles, as follows:

There is a chance of something in the future for newer consoles. In the meanwhile, we are releasing TH Shred Sessions for mobile devices soon-ish. I’m going rogue with information at this point so I better shut up now.

Clearly not an official announcement by any means, but there’s still hope for perhaps a new Pro Skater, another HD remake – anything is possible at this point. The latest in the long-running skateboarding series is Tony Hawk’s Shred Sessions, exclusively available on iOS and Android platforms, although no release date has been given as of yet.

Whilst footage is generally difficult to find, a video emerged of Tony Hawk himself playing his latest game, which can be seen below. Based on the comments and judging from the gameplay seen, Shred Sessions doesn’t seem like a game people will be rushing to purchase. The first Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game was released back in 1999 and received generally positive feedback, however the series has arguably gone downhill (no pun intended).

Can we have a new Pro Skater that sticks to the original formula already, Tony?
