Xbox Wire Editor Mike Nelson has revealed the full lineup for Next Week on Xbox for October 5 to 9, building on last week’s lineup of new releases. The headline release is Gears of War: E-Day from Xbox Game Studios, launching October 6 for $69.99 on Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere.
Gears of War: E-Day Leads the Week
Gears of War: E-Day is set fourteen years before the original Gears of War. Players follow Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde first erupts. The game is built in Unreal Engine 5. Multiplayer includes a reimagining of the PvE mode Horde Siege and a refined Versus PvP.
Kingdom Hearts Collection and STAR WARS: Galactic Racer
Square Enix launches Kingdom Hearts Collection on October 6 for $74.99 on Xbox Play Anywhere. The bundle includes Kingdom Hearts -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC). STAR WARS: Galactic Racer from Secret Mode also arrives October 6 for $59.99. It is a runs-based racing game set in the Outer Rim after the Empire has fallen, centered on an underground circuit called the Galactic League where syndicates sponsor pilots.
Horror, Action, and Roguelike Releases
October 8 brings Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival from Saber Interactive for $39.99. This first-person action horror survival game follows Aidan as he uses the Genesis Configuration puzzle box to save his girlfriend Sunny from the Labyrinth, facing Pinhead and the Cenobites. Neon Abyss 2 from Kepler Interactive also launches October 8 on Xbox Play Anywhere. It is a cybermyth roguelike with run and gun gameplay and item synergies. Echo Weaver from Akupara Games arrives October 8 for $19.99 on Game Pass and Xbox Play Anywhere. It is a knowledge-based Metroidvania built around a time loop.
The Rest of the Week
Other releases include Hidden Dogs on October 7 from Silesia Games, where players find over 500 hidden dogs and items across 15 hand-drawn levels in the English countryside. Titanic Escape Simulator from MagicProStudio arrives October 7 on Xbox Play Anywhere, starring a private investigator who investigates a suspicious death aboard the ocean liner before disaster strikes. Voltaire: The Vegan Vampire from JanduSoft launches October 7 for $19.99, on sale for $15.99. Additional October 8 titles include Gear.Club Unlimited 3 from Nacon, which adds Japan to the French Mediterranean coast with over 40 cars for $49.99.
