Released back in November, 2012 the Nokia Lumia 920 was one of the first Windows Phone smart devices in its family. Featuring some of the most powerful mobile hardware for its time and praised to be one of the best Lumia smartphones to ever be released, how does the smart device compare to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and is it still worth buying today.

The Nokia Lumia 920 was one of the trendsetters in the Lumia family with its colorful panels. Although some consider the edgy design visually unappealing, the smart device is nonetheless designed to be easy to grip. Samsung Galaxy S3
Praised as the best smart device for its time, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is still available on the mobile market today. However, could it compare with modern devices in the same price range and is it still worth buying today?

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was a trendsetter for the Galaxy Smartphone line, much like the Lumia 920 was for its. Reducing the outside panel and increasing the size of the display, the smartphone is 5.38 x 2.78 x 0.34 inches in size. Easy to grip, the device doesn’t become tiresome to the hand even when extensively used, because of it overall weight of about 133 grams.

Much like the Lumia 920, the Samsung Galaxy S3 features quite powerful specifications compared to mid-price range smartphones as well. Featuring Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor that is backed up by a Mali-400MP GPU, Exynos 4412 Quad chipset and as much as 1GB of RAM. Moreover, much like the Lumia 920, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is also upgradable to the latest Android v4.4.2 (KitKat) thus you will be able to enjoy the thousands of applications that are available for the Android mobile OS as well.

The Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy S3 are perfect competitors to the smartphones released in the same price range released today. Having in mind their close overall mobile performance as both feature beautiful display, powerful specifications, decent enough cameras and enough of a battery life to be perfect companions, the true question between the two devices lies in whether you prefer Windows Phone mobile operating system or Android OS.
