Nokia Lumia Icon vs. HTC Desire 601

by GH Staff

Coming from top notch brands of cell phones, both Nokia Lumia Icon and HTC Desire 601 have their own line of high end features to display. Which phone is more business friendly? Which one has more essential features?

Nokia Lumia Icon

This wide and sleek phone is the smartest Lumia phone in the recent times. It is available in multiple colors with adjustable wallpapers. Some of its features have been kept at par with the upcoming technologies.

Design & Display

A large AMOLED capacitive touch screen which features bright 441 pixels per inch density on its 5 inch screen is a sight for sore eyes. Just like all other Lumia phones we get a clear black display here also. The Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection feature is another added feature.

Specifications, Camera & Battery

This phone works on Windows 8 platform. It has got A 2GB RAM along with a 2.2 GHz Quad core Snap dragon processor. Smooth running apps are a positive with this one. The fantastic 20 mega pixel camera is something to watch out for. Along with that we get a 2420 Li-Ion mAh battery in this one. All in all nice features have been included.

HTC Desire 601

This phone is just like most other latest Android phones. However there are a few essential perks to using this phone. We must note that this phone is the finest in its category in providing the Android OS.

Design & Display

First of all this phone has a 4.5 inch screen and a much lesser resolution compared to Lumia Icon. However the makers have ensured it is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on screen. TFT capacitive touch screen is also not the one to beat the Super AMOLED touch screen of Lumia Icon; however it does well for its price range.

Specifications, Camera & Battery

Internal 1GB RAM support is clearly a lesser feature than Lumia Icon. Compared to the Quad core processor, here we have only a dual core 1.4 GHz processor. But the biggest drawback is that this phone lacks a secondary camera in today’s date. Its 5 mega pixel camera too, is way lower in comparison to 20MP of the Lumia Icon. We get a lot of business feature accessibility like Document viewer and Dropbox. The Li-Po 2100 mAh battery is a relief.

Overall

HTC has decided to play it smart by providing necessary features and grouping the phone in a smaller price range. But the lack of secondary camera is just too much. All in all Nokia Lumia Icon provides a better facility for everyone in terms of features.
