[dropcap size=dropcap]D[/dropcap]uring this year’s E3 conference, Tecmo Koei announced the game and presented a trailer, some gameplay footage and some pictures from Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z for the first time. Now, they made another announcement regarding the established official release date for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
According to the official sources from Tecmo Koei, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z will arrive on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC starting from March, 4, 2014 in United States of America.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is a third-person “hack and slash” video game very similar to previous titles in the Ninja Gaiden series. Players can run, jump, block and attack enemies using Yaiba’s blade. They will assume the role of Yaiba, a ninja cyborg that came back from the dead, willing to do anything to get his revenge on his murderer. He has a robotic arm that transforms into various ninja weapons and a ninja sword. He is prepared to face the countless undead hordes that will not be able to stop him to reach Ryu Hayabusa, his killer. At some point in the previous titles of the series, Yaiba engaged in a battle with Ryu, losing an eye, an arm and finally his life. He was resurrected as a cyborg by a mysterious organization. In exchange for his life and the power he need in order to take care of Ryu, Yaiba will have to quell a zombie plague.
Along with this announcement Tecmo Koei also published a new trailer in which we meet Miss Monday, the in-game guide of Yaiba. The video shows us more about the new abilities of the main character:
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z was officially unveiled on September 19, 2012. Less than a month later, the producers announced that the PC version of the game will be released through the Steam platform. Several artworks from the game were created by James Stokoe, a Canadian comic book artist. Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is developed by Team Ninja based on a Keiji Inafune concept.
