It was not long ago when the Taiwanese tech company HTC uncovered the Eye Experience firmware that came together with the launch of the Desire Eye camera-centric handset. Now, an operating system update of Android 4.4.4 to HTC One M8 will be pushed to T-Mobile Users offering the same ‘Eye Experience’.
The HTC One M8 smartphone was released with Android 4.4.2 OS preinstalled on it so the users will not likely see significant improvements to the UI but they will be able to finally get a taste of the camera-focused software features that the update will offer. The suite will bring Face Tracking to keep up with a maximum of 4 faces when having a video chat with them showing in a split screen. Face Fusion will also be experienced blending the user’s face with that of the other person’s and Split Capture should be there too, allowing the user to record with the front and rear shooters simultaneously.
Just like how it normally goes, the Android 4.4.4 update for the M8 device will rolled out in various phases so the users would not be able to download and run on the new software right away. You know already that if your handset is eligible for an update to a new software version, you will receive a notification about it. Once you receive the update message, tap on it, select ‘Download Now’, wait for the download to finish then tap ‘Install now’. After these steps, your handset will then go through a system reboot to completely install the new software.
According to those who’ve updated to the Android 4.4.4, the size of the system file is 256MB so it is highly suggested that a stable Wi-Fi network is available when making the download. This will make sure that bill shock can be avoided on the user’s data plan.
The firmware that will hit to the Taiwanese company’s flagship will be HTC’s final KitKat update because it will soon make a transition once the Android 5.0 Lollipop comes out.
