The PC Specification Requirements for the latest reboot of the Thief game were revealed earlier this week by Eidos Montreal. In a post to their website, the developers stated that they have finished ‘tinkering and optimizing’ the stealth video game, as well as published the official minimum and recommended requirements for the PC version.
While the next-gen console war continues to spread throughout the gaming forums, PC users will be happy to know that Thief’s art director Jean-Norman Bucci stated that although the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will be far better than what console gamers are used to, the PC version will be superior, offering “numerous improvements, including even better anti-aliasing, higher resolution shadows and support for multi monitor”.
Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows Vista with platform update
- CPU: High-performance dual core CPU or quad core CPU
- RAM: 4 GB
- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 4800 series / Nvidia GTS 250
- DirectX: DirectX 10
- HDD/SSD: 20 GB
Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 7 or 8
- CPU: AMD FX 8000 series or better / Intel i7 Quad Core CPU
- RAM: 4+ GB
- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD / R9 series or better / Nvidia GTX 660 series or better
- DirectX: DirectX 11
- HDD/SSD: 20 GB
Ported to the PC by Nixxes, the company that worked on the PC versions of Tomb Raider and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Thief will be released on February 25 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and the PC.
