Will you be a loving or violent god?Fable creator Peter Molyneux’s Godus has been released today on iOS in what he has claimed to be “the hardest, most amazing” project his ever been part of according to his tweet on Twitter.

Godus is a simulation game where you play as God and have complete control over landscape of the world and the fates of the people who live there. You can sculpt mountains and carve rivers for your people to enjoy unless you want to be a cruel god which is entirely in your power. As the game continues you’ll unlock more powers to effect the world and the people in it anyway you want to.

For players who don’t want to wait around for their projects to finish Godus also has micro-transactions with the cheapest offer being $4.99 for 50 gems and at most $99.99 for 1400 gems.

22can will continue to update the game after launch with promises of competitive multiplayer though judging from the games description the competitive multiplayer is more in the leaderboard side of things. Here’s the quote from the game description where they talk about Godus future multiplayer:

“Moving forward, Godus will connect gamers to a seemingly endless world where they will clash with rival gods, compete in live challenges, and unlock surprising new abilities to advance their primitive population to modernity,”

Peter Molyneux’s Godus has been released today on iOS and you can buy it for iPad and iPhone. Godus is also available on PC through Steam where it’s in early access.
