Playstation 4 Predictions 2015

by GH Staff
Titanfall's Capture the Flag and Pilot Hunter modes on PC have been removed from public play.

The Playstation 4 is heading into 2015 with numerous games already announced; Uncharted 4, Until Dawn, The Order: 1886 and more have already been revealed but there should be plenty of surprises in store for the millions of PS4 owners. Here are some predictions for Sony’s flagship console for the year of 2015:

TheLastGuardian

The Last Guardian Will Actually Release

2015 will mark the tenth year since Team Ico has released a game. The Last Guardian is still in development so the game will eventually be released, hopefully in late 2015. An announcement at E3 would set the world on fire and halt any moment which Microsoft built up during the Expo. The tenth anniversary of the exceptional Shadow Of The Colossus would be a perfect time for Team Ico to finally step out the shadows.

Uncharted HD Collection

With all of the remakes and remasters which were released in 2014 it was surprising to see that Naughty Dog’s Uncharted trilogy remain on the bench. A 1080p trilogy is a very safe investment for Sony as it is guaranteed to have a market of people willing to replay the three classics. The exceptional Uncharted: Golden Abyss will most likely have to sit this collection out as changing the control scheme maybe too much of a hassle to be worth the money. 2015 feels like the perfect window for an Uncharted HD collection as the collection would perfectly complement the release of Uncharted 4 and bring people up to speed with the cast and characters of the Uncharted series. Speaking of Uncharted  4…

Uncharted 4 Will Release In December

Sony will have several titles for the holiday season of 2015; December is a relatively quiet month for blockbuster game releases so an early December release will be perfect for Uncharted 4 as it will have little competition. Additionally a December release with provide Naughty Dog with plenty of time to polish up a possible killer app for the PS4.

Titanfall

Titanfall 2 Will Be Announced

A sequel to the excellent Titanfall has been rumoured ever since the game released back in March. Respawn Entertainment has been very clear that a sequel to the first-person-shooter will not be bound to any exclusivity agreement like the first game was, so it is more of a question about when, not if Titanfall 2 will be heading to Playstation hardware. Since games are usually announced years before they actually release (The Division, Watch Dogs, Uncharted 4, Halo 5) it is quite likely that Titanfall 2 will be announced at some point in 2015, even if Vince Zampella says that they are not going to talk about it.

sony bend

Sony Bend Will Break Their Silence

Sony Bend is close to becoming the new Team Ico, the last game they released was the Vita exclusive Uncharted: Golden Abyss and that was all the way back in 2011. It is heavily rumoured that a game, possibly Syphon Filter 4, was cancelled which has resulted in the Oregon studio having to go back to the drawing board. Whatever has happened does not change the fact that the studio has been radio silent for quite some time so we expect them to show a game in 2015 even if the release date is sometime in 2016.

David Cage

Quantic Dream New IP Revealed

Quantic Dream may not release a title in 2015 but they will most likely announce one at E3. Quantic Dream’s last title Beyond: Two Souls was released in 2013 so by 2016 the French studio would have had enough time to develop a new game for the PS4. David Cage likes having a long campaign for his games, he revealed Heavy Rain in 2006 even though the game came out in 2010. Expect David Cage to out on stage at E3 and deliver another great speech.
