PlayStation 4’s firmware comes early in Europe

by GH Staff

Sony is learning from their mistakes. And as the North American launch of the console was quite a bit of a shocking experience for the PlayStation Network, due to firmware issues, this time they are taking the safe road and introducing the new firmware to Europe even before the console’s launch.

The PlayStation 4 is going to launch in no more than a few days on the 29th of November; however, Sony has already released their 1.51 firmware update to the upcoming continental PS4 owners. The update is relatively 310 MB to download and can be stored on a USB.

As simple as it may seem, the solution to use a USB is quite good. You won’t have to get stuck in network traffic and wait for hours and hours until a simple firmware is downloaded. Especially as you are just getting your hand on your new device and the only thing you want is to experience its power, it isn’t worth waiting for so long after it is already in your hands, when all you have to do is spend a few minutes of preparation beforehand.

If you are waiting for your new console, then you better head over to the official PlayStation site right away, download the update and quickly store it in a safe USB device, while waiting for your PS4 to arrive. Once you follow the instructions given on the site you will be able to update your future console with great simplicity and ease.

That being said, if everyone just manages to find a way to get the 1.51 firmware on their brand new console as quickly as possible,  the chances of network problems or unpleasant experiences appearing are minimized. If you want to fully enjoy what PlayStation has to offer, don’t hesitate, grab a USB Stick with at least 310 MB of free space and get ready for the 29th of November.
