Motorola introduced its latest, trendy, gorgeous and of course technically advanced Moto G second generation. Being tagged as a 179 dollars mobile device this is certainly not one of the high end phones but still works like one, and this caused the company’s success in 2014. Inspite, of its affordable rate it presents a sleek and stylish design, works like a charisma and comes with a camera par excellence.
Design
If you were expecting a huge transition of the Moto G from its previous generations, here’s sad news, the additions are quite limited. Other than the fact, that it is slimmer (11 m), the 2014 Moto G is not that different from Moto X or its previous models in terms of look and design. It is certainly a bit thicker than the other models from the same generation. This latest version is a tad taller than the previous Smartphone of Motorola measuring 141.5 mm, the buttons on the right side of the handset, with an attractive dimple beneath the camera, and an innovative curvy back panel.
Although the company decided to maintain its screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, certain changes in Moto G 2014 include a larger screen size (5”), heavier body of 149 grams and a wider panel of 70.7 mm. one of the major drawbacks of this mobile set is that the downgrade of its pixel density from 329ppi, to 249ppi, although the difference hasn’t been considered significant.
Some of the striking features about this model include interchangeable rear shell, allowing users to personalize the look of the devices. Moto G 2014 has also been appreciated for having two speakers on the front panel. Well, from the next time you like recommending your friends some song or like showing off you’ve got the right device in your hand.
Camera
One of the significant up-gradations in the device is its 8 MP rear camera, which is better than the 5 MP one’s of the previous generations. The device also has a 2 MP front facing camera for clicking some selfies and for video chatting. Although, the rear camera works well outdoors, it doesn’t satisfy the user in lowlight environment.
Hardware
In terms of hardware, the latest model has the same Adreno 305GPu and quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 CPU configuration. It is well supported by the Snapdragon 400 Qualcomm MSM8226 chipset, with a 1GB Ram with 8GB internal and16 GB unexpandable memory.
