Pre-order Evolve now and get ahead of the rest of the pack
Players who pre-order Evolve on the Xbox One before or during the next Beta will unlock the hunters Parnell, Abe, Caira and Cabot as well as the monster Wraith for use during both the full game and the upcoming Beta, which will start on January 15th. Players who don’t pre-order the game will still be able to unlock both the hunters and the monsters in-game.
The Wraith was originally revealed back in December 18th and unlike the other monsters it uses stealth to outmaneuver and kill the hunters. It can use decoys to lure hunters towards or away from it as well as turn invisible and also grab a hunter and drag them away from the group so they can be easily picked off.
Hunter-wise these four were revealed back in December 3rd and starting with Parnell, he comes armed with an automatic shotgun as well as a rocket launcher and can use his power armour to give himself superhuman speed, to jump higher, shoot faster and reload faster. However the suit also drains his health so stay close to the medic.
Speaking of the medic Caira she comes armed with both napalm and healing grenades. Her healing grenades can heal both the party and local wildlife while her napalm grenades will deal damage over time and increase the damage the monster takes from the other hunters. Also I’m pretty sure a flaming Wraith will be easy to spot even when invisible.
There’s also Abe who comes equipped with a shotgun that changes how its ammo is fired depending on how hard players pull the trigger. He also comes with static grenades to slow monsters down as well as tracking darts which can also be used on the local wildlife to tag the creature. Finally there’s the group leader Cabot who comes armed with a rail gun which bursts into shrapnel when it hits monsters with tough hides and a damage amplifying beam which does exactly what the name claims it does. He can also summon a radioactive cloud that will allow players to track the monster over a greater distance.
In order to get the above for both the full game and the upcoming Beta players must pre-order the digitalĀ version of the game before or during the beta.
