In a recent blog post developers of the indie zombie survival game Project Zomboid revealed footage from the latest multiplayer tests of the game. They also stated that although no official figures can be released at this point, the game “managed 10-12” players “on a domestic cable connection pretty effortlessly.”
Graphically a bit like the first Sims game version of DayZ, Project Zomboid lets people get into the shoes of a person living in a zombie infested world. With wonderful aesthetics and great gameplay features, the zombie survival game gives off a sense of realism as to the developing situation where you must scavenge food, construct barricades and defend yourself against the brainless infected creatures.
The game developers also mentioned in their post that anyone that has a of the game will be able to “launch their own console only Project Zomboid server just by passing the appropriate parameters to the executable.” Supporting game customization, the servers will also be “fully moddable” by fans of the game as modders will be “able to create their own network messages to sync the server and the client.”
Available for PC gamers and developed by The Indie Stone, Project Zomboid is currently in its alpha stage, but a beta is expected to be released soon making huge improvements to the game as a whole.
