PS4 | EVE: Valkyrie in Development for Project Morpheus

Yesterday, Sony unveiled “Project Morpheus“, the company’s own virtual reality headset for the PS4 console, at this year’s Game Developers Conference. After three years of development,  Project Morpheus is Sony’s response to the latest trend in virtual reality, previously reinitialized thanks to the Oculus Rift.

The company is already working with a number of developers to discuss what games can be released for Project Morpheus. One of those games is the VR-exclusive EVE: Valkyrie from CCP Games, previously announced to only be releasing on PC.

CCP Games’ EVE: Valkyrie is set within the the studio’s EVE Online universe, and it is being developed with Oculus Rift in mind. With the unveiling of Sony’s own VR headset, EVE: Valkyrie will now also be released as an exclusive to the PS4 console on Project Morpheus, as well as release on the Oculus Rift on the PC, too.

EVE: Valkyrie is slated to drop later on this year, but it is unclear whether or not either the PC’s Oculus Rift or PS4’s Project Morpheus will launch by then.
