Redbox, a company that has been extremely popular with movie lovers across the US, has also been offering video games from their rental service, specifically for PS3 and Xbox 360. A new rumor has surfaced very recently that states Redbox may soon be offering PS4, Xbox One and Wii U games for rent. This is stated to happen in the next few weeks, with Wii U games being expected to be offered from March 25th. The titles that are to be included are Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Super Luigi U and Lego City Undercover.
Redbox has apparently published the list of games on their website, but this was quickly removed after the news broke. Also on that list were Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for Xbox One and PS4. Not the best selection of games but at least it’s a start. For those who don’t know, Redbox is a rental service who offers rentals via their website, or through over 35,000 kiosks across the US. The kiosks are usually found in or outside supermarkets, pharmacy’s and convenience stores.
