by GH Staff

Respawn Entertainment, best known for the first person shooter Titanfall has revealed that they have a smaller team working on a new title that is not related to the shooter. Respawn has revealed that the second development team is being lead by Stig Asmussen who worked on the God of War series. Respawn’s main development team is currently working on a possible sequel to their first person shooter, Titanfall which was both a critical and financial success.

According to the company’s COO, Dusty Welch. Welch has revealed that Asmussen is the lead director for Respawn’s new project and that the studio was looking into expanding into the free-to-play and mobile market. No other details have been revealed though when asked if the game would be revealed anytime soon as E3 is just a couple of months away, Vince Zampella the founder of Respawn said “No, I don’t think so”. Zampella has also revealed that next year, being 2015 will be a “little quiet” for the studio in game announcements as the studio currently has two development teams working on different titles.

Zampella has also mentioned that future games that are being developed by Respawn Entertainment including a sequel to Titanfall may not be exclusive with Microsoft. Which would mean that the next game from the studio could release for Playstation consoles including the Playstation 4.

Titanfall is currently available for Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. The game has sold over seven million copies and is nearing the eight million mark according to an interview by Zampella
