Relive the series roots with the Tomb Raider iOS app bundle which also comes with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
From today iOS players looking to relive two of what are often looked at as some of the best games on the PS1 or those looking for a bargain will be happy to hear that Square Enix has released the Tomb Raider iOS app bundle. The Tomb Raider iOS app bundle comes with Tomb Raider 1 and 2 along with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and the bundle costs £2.99/€4.99/$4.99.

Tomb Raider 1 was originally released back in 1996 and saw Lara on the hunt to find the pieces of the amulet of Scion, oh and Atlantis is involved too but your going to have to play the game yourself to find out how it happened. The iOS version of Tomb Raider also includes both new and the original cut-scene voice overs as well as enhanced original music effects and updated and optimised controls.
Meanwhile Tomb Raider 2 brings Lara to China in search for the Dagger of Xian, a legendary dagger that can grant its owner tremendous power stabbing themselves in the heart with it, and by tremendous power I mean they turn into a bloody dragon. Along with way Lara will have to stop an insane cult (is there any other kind) from using the power of the dagger for themselves. The iOS version of Tomb Raider 2 also comes with the Golden Mask expansion which is a four level long story that sees Lara looking for the famed Golden Mask of Tornarsuk.
Finally the Tomb Raider iOS app bundle will also come with the recently updated Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. In this title Lara Croft must work with an ancient Mayan warrior called Totec in order to stop an evil spirit called Xolotl inside the Temple of Light so Lara can get an artifact called the Mirror of Smoke. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is unique in the series because it plays in an isometric view and features co-op gameplay.
Unfortunately the Tomb Raider app bundle won’t be available for Android users because according to the Square Enix blog “Google Play unfortunately doesn’t support bundled apps“.
