There have been heavy rumors and hints pointing to the reveal of Rocksteady Studios’ new Batman game tomorrow, March 4th. Rocksteady Studios has been responsible for releasing the critically-acclaimed games Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. There has been a tweet from ArkhamVerse stating that the latest Game Informer cover would be revealed tomorrow. They also included the promising hashtag #BatmanArkham. The Twitter account @BatmanArkham has also been posting about some news in tomorrow’s DC All Access, but some more revealing tweets have apparently been deleted. In addition, the domain BatmanArkhamKnight.com (the suspected title for the next game) has been registered and work is currently being done to it, resulting in the restricted message one gets when attempting to access it.
Rocksteady Studios have been maintaining their privacy for quite some time now, but industry professionals and gamers alike have had their sneaking suspicions that they have been working on a new title in the series. Despite all of this information coming to light, the platforms that the game will be coming to are still up in the air. While it could very well release for the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4 and PC, it may wind up being next-gen or last-gen exclusive. Only time will tell, and you can rest assured that we’ll have a story on tomorrow’s Game Informer cover if the rumors prove to be true.
