Rome 2 Seasons And Wonders Update: Game Tweaks And Twitch Integration

by GH Staff

The team behind Total War: Rome II have released another patch for the game, this time titled ‘Seasons and Wonders’. As the title suggests, the game is now adding seasons, which were previously excluded from the game, then reintroduced in Caesar In Gaul, into the Grand Campaign. However, the game will maintain its 1-year turns, and as such, seasons will be limited to one season per year, rather than the multiple of previous Total War iterations. Six wonders will also be added to Rome 2’s battle maps as well, most notably the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Colossus of Rhodes. For the full list of added wonders, see the link at the bottom of the article.

As well as the seasons and wonders, a number of other additions were made to the game. Carthage, or any factions in Carthaginian lands, have access to a number of new mercenary units, including Noble Cavalry and Balearic Slingers. Again, see the full list below. The other notable inclusions of the update are touchscreen support, and more prominently, integrated Twitch support. Now, from within the game, anyone can stream the game by simply setting their broadcasting options and hitting the newly-added Twitch button in the top left of the screen, (or use the hotkey F6).

There were also a number of battle, campaign and AI tweaks and improvements, as well as a number of balancing issues being addressed. For the full list of updates, check out the official patch notes.
