According to a recent report, Grand Theft Auto V may launch on PlayStation 4 before the Xbox One version of the game.
Yesterday the news that GTAV would have a large mandatory installation was discovered from an accidental early listing on the European PlayStation store, which prompted Sony to remove the listing but not before some users were able to pre-order the title.
Those that were able to pre-order GTAV are now reporting that the release date of November 4th appears next to the title in their download queue. November 4th would be a full two weeks before the November 18th release date that Rockstar Games had originally provided for the title to be released on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
While this is in no way a confirmation of anything concrete and could simply be an error that Sony has yet to fix, this might be an indication that GTAV will have a two week head start on the PlayStation 4 before heading to Xbox One.
Sony has yet to comment on any of this, or make any sort of official announcement, so only time will tell on whether or not this report turns out to have any truth to it.
Officially, for now, Grand Theft Auto V will be released on November 18th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The title is currently available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version to be released next year on January 27th.
