A tweet from gaming industry insider Supernnuation today confirmed that Visceral Games will be releasing a new game this fall. However, a month earlier in December, 2013 a NeoGaf thread was started that made a pretty solid case about the possibility of Visceral Games working on a new Battlefield game. Is it possible that we could see a new Battlefield title this fall? Read on and decide for yourself!
The first speculation evidence comes from Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter, who first told Eurogamer that Criterion was making a 2014 Battlefield spin-off, but later changed said that Visceral Games are actually working behind it. Other evidence also suggest that Visceral are developing a next-gen shooter such as the fact that they have been out firing real guns, their old job postings that suggest contribution to “an exciting franchise” and the fact that almost everyone at Visceral has been working on Battlefield 4 make the case pretty solid.
As superannuation, the gaming industry insider, shared that Visceral Games will be shipping a new game in the fall, most BF fans are hoping it would be Battleifeld: Bad Company 3. Visceral Games are also currently working on an unannounced Star Wars game. However, as EA abstains from comment on an upcoming 2014 Battlefield 4 follow-up, we will probably understand the validity of this rumor once E3 hits.
Do you believe this speculation?
