Platinum Games just teased some Bayonetta 2 on Twitter, could it be the major super over stylized Bayonetta 2 coming to new consoles, or even PC? Anything Bayonetta 2 is great, so regardless I’m sure I’ll be pleased.
Bayonetta, the original which pioneered the over-the-top and extremely sexualized gameplay that has since become a massive hit, pioneered on Wii, 360 and PS3, however when initial sales weren’t fantastic, the series was considered dead. Over the years it built up a larger and larger following until SEGA and Nintendo worked with Platinum Games to fund a sequel. It’s currently exclusive to Wii U, which is very disheartening for a lot of fans and caused quite a spot of controversy, however if it was released to other consoles I’m sure it would make a massive splash in the proverbial video game pond.
Is this dreaming a little strong? Sure. The game did only recently come out on Wii U, it would be strange to release this quickly on new consoles, but it’s not impossible (And there are precedents!). More likely just a DLC or character costume pack, we can all hope for a little Christmas magic.
