Saints Row IV has a new DLC called Gat Out of Hell, which will release on January 27, 2015, and boy, these developers never run out of ideas!
In this DLC, you play as Gat, the man himself, in an attempt to piss of Satan in order to rescue your main character from previous Saints Row games. This isn’t a full Saints Row game, but a standalone expansion for Saints Row IV. As the name suggests, this game doesn’t take place in Steelport, but rather Hell itself, full with floating islands, castles, and a whole lot of other hellish structures. Check out the gameplay!
One of the most notable features of the DLC is Gat’s wings, enabling you to fly around Hell with speed and style. This new map, as stated in the video, has verticality in mind. Seeing as you have wings, might as well use them right? And this new playground has been specifically designed for that purpose.
New weapons are also inbound. Guns that shoot locusts, and guns for each of the sins. Hilariously, there’s an armchair complete with miniguns and rockets that you can sit in, demolishing your enemies, aptly created after the sin, Sloth.
There’s a plethora of insane weapons, coupled with the fact that the flight aspect of Saints Row 4 has been completely overhauled for this specific DLC, this is looking to be great. The setting is refreshing and the gameplay is what we expect of Saints Row, brutal murder and fun exploration. And here I was thinking Volition couldn’t think of any other ways to make Saints Row IV crazier, with the dubstep guns, superpowers, and whatnot. And what do we get? We get Gat. In Hell. Pissing of Satan. Could you really ask for more?
