The Samsung Galaxy Note line was always about size and the principle of ‘the bigger, the better’. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 won’t break tradition either, and it seems that the upcoming Samsung phablet will feature a QHD, 5.9 inch display similar to the one found in the LG G3. We’re talking about 1440p resolutions of course, and a PPI of around 450-500, which is nothing to shy away from at that size.
But if that’s not enough for you, and 5.9 inches isn’t enough to look at, perhaps you’ll be gazing at your wrist more, as the Note 4 will probably come bundled up with Samsung’s new wearable tech, the Samsung Gear 3. Samsung seems to be pushing hard with the wearable technology, being threatened by the LG G, iWatch and Moto 360. The Gear 3 might actually support SIM cards, making it a stand-alone mobile device in its own right. According to the KoreanHerald, some solid leaks have surfaced about both the Note 4 and the Gear 3. “Samsung is working on the next generation of the Samsung Gear 2, and it will be sold in a bundle package with the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.”
“Samsung is trying to shorten the release cycle since other rivals, including Apple and LG Electronics, are expected to roll out their own smartwatches.” added Nam Dae-Jong, a Hana Daetoo Securities analyst. In any case, even if the two mobile devices get bundled up, it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing either of them before the end of Fall. We’re fairly certain the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be launched this year, but it’s likely going to come in October. In other Samsung Galaxy Note 4 news, rumors suggest that the device will feature 3 GB of RAM and will be among the first Android phones to actually make use of the new Snapdragon 805 CPU. The 801 CPU is far from being outdated, but it will be interesting to see how the 805 performs. Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will most likely feature a 20 MP camera, which should be a huge upgrade over the current Note 3 shooter.
What are you more excited about? The seemingly lavish specs of the Note 4, or the prospects of a bundle with a future Samsung wearable watch?
