The latest release of Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo, released in the month of April 2014 and onwards is a lot like Samsung Galaxy S3’s refreshed version.
The last release coming from Samsung is not that different compared to the Galaxy S3 of 2012, when it comes to design and features. On the other hand, differences lie on the processor. S3 Neo uses a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 Cortex A7 quad core process which is running at 1.2 or 1.4GHz and a graphic processor that is Adreno 305. This smartphone also uses a 1.5GB RAM.
Galaxy S4 Zoom, however, aims to take over the market for smartphones using the 16MP camera it has, equipped with an amazing 10x optical zoom feature.
When it comes to the camera, S3 Neo clearly loses against the S4 Zoom. S3 Neo only uses an 8MP main camera, which could have been a great deal if it was released two years ago. It no longer impresses the people who use smartphones today, especially with the price it has.
The S4 Zoom, in comparison, has a 16MP camera which is capable of optical zooming. Its 10x optical zooming capabilities give its users an incredible experience, making it a better camera phone than the S3 Neo.
The processor the Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo gets power from its quad-core processor, working at 1.4GHz and combined with a 1GB RAM. However, it only uses an Exynos 4212 quad-core chipset, which is disappointing because it is among the latest Samsung smartphone releases.
S4 Zoom, on the other hand, comes with an Exynos 4212 dual-core process, working at 1.5GHz with its graphic processor, Mali-400. Its GPU and CPU combined are joined by a 1.5GB RAM for a smoother and faster handset function.
When it comes to the internal storage, Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo’s capacity for internal storage is 16GB. Galaxy S4 Zoom, on the other hand, has 8GB. In addition, both of them are equipped with slots for external memory cards that can carry up to 64GB more.
Now, let’s talk about their batteries. S3 Neo uses a battery unit of 2100 mAh, which can be removed. In comparison, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom comes with a battery unit that is bigger and has a capacity of 2330 mAh. On the other hand, its battery doesn’t get quickly drained out considering normal screen and chipset usage. S4 Zoom might require you to carry spare battery units since its 16MP camera eats up a lot of the capacity of its batteries.
