The Galaxy Watch 3, Samsung newest range of high-end wearables, is now available to buy in the United States. This development comes exactly 24 hours since its official announcement at an online-only Galaxy Unpacked event.
Consumers have a choice between Wi-Fi and LTE-ready models, both of which are available in two sizes – 41mm and 45mm. The most modest of the bunch, a 41mm Wi-Fi-only wearable, will set you back $399.99, with prices going up to $499.99.
Besides Samsung, Best Buy is also already offering the entire Galaxy Watch 3 range. Come early next year, Walmart and Target are likely to join in on the fun as well, together with at least one national carrier. Every Galaxy Watch 3 model supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and works with both Android smartphones and iPhones.
Naturally, you should use it in conjunction with one of the recent Galaxy flagships for the best effect, though the vast majority of its features are pretty smartphone-agnostic. A blood pressure monitor and ECG are also on board hardware-wise, though you’ll have to wait for their official FDA approval before a software update enables their functionality.
This is expected to happen either late this year or in early 2021.
